Capturing moments in time.

A gorgeous animal that we see often in the beautiful Rocky Mountains where I live. I did this charcoal and white pastel drawing as a Christmas gift for my dad to hang in their home in Estes Park and I thought it was about time that I share it with you as a print! This makes a great gift for a nature lover or anyone who wants a piece of the Rocky Mountains in their home.

I was finally able to get it onto a canvas in between commissions and now it’s hanging in my room. As a former swimmer, the idea of slowly sinking beneath the surface of the water is very peaceful, but I like that this motif can evoke different emotions in different people.

I took a photo of this tree on a hike last year and had been dying to paint it ever since. Something about the smokey Colorado sky behind its half dying limbs was so striking that it stopped me in my tracks. This is an interesting and unique take for someone looking for a piece of landscape art.
